I am Consuelo Meux, Ph.D., a Business & Organizational Consultant, & Certified Holistic Health Coach with a Ph.D. in Human and Organization Systems. I am a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and enjoy being a Raw Foods Chef in my “spare” time! A health crisis set me on my path to becoming an expert in health and wellness for the seasoned (Boomer) woman. A time came when I had to face the ugly truth brought on by years of eating foods common in the American diet such as those with too many preservatives, too much sugar, and too many artificial ingredients. Plus, I always had problems digesting certain foods. Stomach problems, fatigue and other issues plagued me for years. Add to that the stress of life along with exposure to toxins we can barely avoid. My blood pressure was up, my cholesterol was out of control, I was overweight and had aches and pains throughout my body and joints.
It seemed that becoming a seasoned woman meant facing a new regiment of increased doctor’s visits and medications. This gave me the wake-up call I needed to get really serious about changing my health behaviors. I absolutely refused to get “old” too soon. I also knew that staying active, eating right and living a consciously healthy life could mean reversing the bad effects that were already taking hold of my body. That’s when I decided to pursue advanced studies in nutrition, health and wellness through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) inNew York and the School for Natural Health Sciences (SNHS) in London.
Today, along with my earned Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems, I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Counselor (CHHC) and member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioner (AADP). By applying holistic health and wellness standards to my life I have been able to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol, get rid of the joint pains, and lose weight quickly and easily in completely natural ways. Now I exercise regularly, have more energy, and look and feel better everyday.
